ليستدل بذلك على حالات النفس، وهل هى من النفوس التى تصلح للعلوم والآداب، أم من التى لا توافق ذلك، ولكن أجسامها غليظة، عبلة، توافق المهن الصلبة، والأعمال الخشنة، لكى يعلم ما يوافق كل نفس، وكل جسم، وما يخالفهما، ليحفظهما بالشبيه، ويصلحهما بالمضاد. وبذلك يقدر الطبيب أن يختار لمجالسته، ومذاكرته، وإفادة علمه، الموافق، ويحذر خلافه ومضاده.
