الناشئ 〈ثابتا دائما غير متبدل، لاكنه يتبدل بالكمية، أعنى أن كل جزء من أجزاء العنصر الناشئ〉 يسيل ويتبدل حتى لا يبقى شىء منه على حاله الأول. فأما صورة الناشئ فتبقى دائمة، ما كان الناشئ قائما غير واقع تحت الفساد.
ونقول أيضا ان النشوء حركة من الحركات وان الحركة لا تكون الا على شىء ساكن. وقد قلنا ان الصورة باقية وان العنصر منتقل، والنشوء اذن لا يكون الا فى صورة الشىء فقط. 〈فقد استبان و〉اتضح قول الفيلسوف ان النشوء يكون فى الصورة، لا فى العنصر.
